Lighting Up New Work! Workshop of New Play: Illuminated Dresses

June 12, 2018

Illuminated Dresses--conceived by local playwright Debra Kaufman--is a new piece in the earliest stages of production. It contains roughly a dozen monologues, each written by a different playwright, that cover numerous compelling scenarios from women of all of walks of life, yet each centering around a story or experience involving a dress. For the initial two hours of the workshop, director Lori Mahl will work on several of the monologues with the cast.  WTF members/attendees are welcome and invited to watch (quietly of course!). For the last hour of the workshop, we will present 8-12 monologues and hope to take time for audience feedback  and questions. Several of the playwrights will be in attendance.

Only available at OCCUPYCON! 2018, in Studio B, Illuminated Dresses Workshop Intensive from 1 pm to 4 pm, Performance and Feedback from 4 pm to 5 pm.

Directed by Lori Mahl. Actresses are Sabrina Aldridge, Kim Camp, Carly Prentis Jones, and Amanda Scherle.
